For the second year running, Nissan has taken home the most best-in-category wins in the annual AutoPacific Vehicle Satisfaction Awards (VSA). These awards are handed out based on results from a nationwide survey that polls more than 58,000 drivers of new cars and light trucks each year.
Which Nissan vehicles took home top honors? Five, count ‘em, five: the Murano, Maxima, TITAN, LEAF, and 370Z. The Murano, Maxima, and TITAN are repeat winners while the LEAF and 370Z are new to the achievement. Specifically, the Murano dominated in the Premium Mid-Size Crossover SUV segment (its fourth consecutive win) while the Maxima took home its third trophy in the Luxury Mid-Size Car segment. The TITAN claimed its second win in the Light Duty Pickup category.
“Not only does Nissan have the most brand wins for the second year in a row, the Maxima and Murano have been unbeatable since their redesigns were introduced to the market,” remarked George Peterson, the president of AutoPacific.
The Nissan LEAF claimed top honors in the Mainstream EV Car class while the ferocious 370Z was top dog in the Sports Car segment.
The survey measures 40 distinct attributes of a new vehicle, including driving performance, interior quality, and seating comfort. The goal is to determine how satisfied owners are with a specific vehicle compared to others in that segment.
