Road trips are a great way to spend time with family, but sometimes it can be difficult to find a way to entertain the whole family when they’re stuck in the car for hours at a time. Here are some family-friendly road trip games that passengers of all ages are sure to enjoy.
Begin this game by thinking of a noun, whether it’s an object, person, or place. Then, have the other passengers begin asking questions to try and guess what it is. But here’s the catch: they only get to ask you 21 questions, so they’ll have to choose wisely. Questions can’t be repeated and whoever guesses it right gets to begin the next round.
I’m Going on a Picnic
Help your kids practice learning the alphabet with this memory game. The first player should begin by stating, “I’m going on a picnic and I’m bringing…” followed by something that begins with “A” like apples. Then, the second person repeats what the previous person said and adds something that begins with “B.” Continue this until you get through the entire alphabet.
The Name Game
This game is one that makes you think. One person begins the Name Game by saying a name (e.g. Simon). The next person needs to come up with a name that begins with the last letter of the previous name (e.g. Nick). You’re not allowed to duplicate names and they all have to be real.
